By Casey Willis - September 7, 2022

The brand new Meraki MR57 is officially here and orderable! Besides having a nice, sleek, new look, lets dive in to some of the features that the MR57 can bring to the table.

Powered by Wi-Fi 6E

The MR57 is Meraki's first Wi-Fi 6E indoor access point. No matter how your team works, your work space needs the highest speeds, consistent reliability, and performance predictability that 6E can offer. The 6 GHz spectrum delivers higher throughput by upping Wi-Fi speeds to an incredible 4,800 Mbps, and expanding the 20 MHz, 40 MHz, 80 MHz, and 160 MHz channels.

Tackle Any Network

The Meraki MR57 is a cloud-managed 802.11ax-compatible access point that raises the bar for wireless performance. The MR57 is designed for next-generation deployments in very dense environments like offices, schools, hospitals, retail shops, and hotels. No matter what problem comes up for you and your team, the MR57 is up to the task. It contains:

  • Concurrent 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz radios
  • A dedicated radio for real-time WIDS/WIPS
  • Automated RF optimization
  • An integrated IoT radio for Bluetooth® Low Energy scanning and beaconing

The MR57 even gives you the flexibility to switch between multiple different operation modes. Dual-band Mode gives you an extra 5 GHz capacity to handle wireless congestion, or, when your employees’ 6E client devices comes online in force, flip the switch and open up the 6 GHz band.

The Meraki Platform

Just like any other Meraki access point, you will manage your new MR57 through the Meraki dashboard. The MR57 is self configuring, and can be deployed to remote locations in a matter of minutes, eve without on-site staff. New features, bug fixes, and enhancements are delivered seamlessly to the MR57 over from the dashboard. Administrators can schedule automatic firmware upgrades, ensuring that your network is kept up to date.
